Position Summary:
Under the general guidance of the VP, Information Technology, the HRIS Project Manager is responsible for leading major HR systems projects, HR systems and process design, HR systems configuration, data standards, reporting and analytics. This position works with the various HR business leaders and partners with other Information Technology resources in researching, analyzing and coordinating and leading system implementation, enhancements and upgrade projects. The HRIS Project Manager will work with HR, IS, and business sponsors to determine and coordinate the project lifecycle. This includes creating the project scope, determining the resources required, estimating the project costs, defining the project schedule, assigning tasks, scope control, project communications, implementation, and the turnover to production support. The HRIS Project Manager will work closely with business sponsors to evaluate the business scope/objectives, assess impacts on the project and develop the most cost-effective and efficient solutions. The HRIS Project Manager will collaborate with all areas of Information Systems to ensure appropriate technical resources are assigned to the project


Take on lead project roles in various development and support projects related to HRIS systems. Determine the root cause of problems, formulate and present viable solutions to internal customers and the support and project teams, and ensure the project is successfully completed.

Essential Functions:
Systems Support

Project management, process analysis, systems analysis, and design specification activities across the enterprise. Extensive interaction with both internal and external resources to understand existing business processes, identifying process gaps, re-designing processes to close those gaps, and managing change.

Provides full-cycle project management for large projects in conjunction with HR, IS and departmental leaders to provide solutions to a variety of GDI business operation and HRIS needs
Consult with Project Sponsors to develop business requirements documents, develop project charters, work breakdown structures, project schedules and milestone plans, risk management, communication plans, issue logs and decision log.
Writing functional specifications and business requirements for enterprise projects
Preparing or assisting with documentation of process flow diagrams, training materials, and operational guides to support process changes
Managing and coordinating multiple projects at a time.
Coordinate and facilitate project team meetings, including agenda preparation, documentation of meeting discussion, and follow up items. Provide ongoing communication about project decisions
Driving internal process change within the organization
As required provide assistance in evaluating new packages and applications based on business needs.
Provide support where required to understand the business and application marketplace.
Management of external contract resources being utilized for project services on a case by case basis.
Training services for user groups to support the ongoing enhancement and extensibility of the HRIS package.
Ongoing functional business support services for various HRIS systems.

Operational Support

Technical documentation of client issues and service requests and reporting to third level help support
Assist users with operational issues related to the ongoing resolution of first and second level support issues as assigned.
Mentors Analysts on HR systems/database relationships, data flow and dependencies, query and reporting concepts and development.
Cross trains with others on the team to provide maximum flexibility within the team and facilitating optimal customer service to end-users

Extensive experience implementing large enterprise wide HRIS systems for multi company/multi country environments.
Ability to work with end users to determine information requirements.
Ability to develop systems from start to finish.
Solid Project Management Skills
High technical, analytical, logical and trouble shooting skills in using structured tools and techniques.
Solid grounding in HRIS systems
Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
Competent in companywide core business systems
University degree in Computer Science (or equivalent credits in management and Computer/Systems related)
PMP Certification preferred.
Consultative approach to working with users in assessing needs and requirements.
