We are currently looking for a
Business Development Intern (June-Dec 2019)
in our Canadian Headquarters in Ajax, Ontario
As a Business Development Intern, you will provide support in the areas of report creation related to Dealer Operational Scorecards and Recognition Programs, Business Management extracts and reporting on Dealer Financial Performance and the physical assembling of dealer files. In the area of dealer files, the intern will provide administrative support related to contracts and as well as dealership relocation and investment applications.
Business Development refers to the development of the Retail Network of dealerships across Canada. The department is responsible for the management of the representation of Audi at Retail. We undertake the monitoring and improvement of dealer performance, both operational and infrastructure.
Reporting to the Manager, Business Performance Retail, you will have an opportunity to challenge analytical, organization, and business skills, as well as to develop business acumen, leadership and management skills. In addition to the below responsibilities, this position provides individuals the opportunity to build on their time management, problem-solving, presentation and team building skill sets. The successful candidate will receive a wide array of responsibilities to complete throughout their tenure with Audi Canada.
Assist in administrative requirements of Audi Network strategy
Maintain spreadsheets on network capacity
Assist in preparation of relocation and facility planning acknowledgement documents.
Coordinate data entry and communicate directly with Weis for priority and project status, ensuring timelines are adhered to and communicated internally (Field Teams)
Collect, produce, and ensure accurate data for Monthly Dealer Report Card and submit to ASE
Track field contact reporting action items and follow up requirements to ensure documentation is captured accurately and timely
Assist in completion of Forecasts, Budget and Business Plans for Retailers
Assist with the preparation of Dealer correspondence and dealer agreements
Dealer Financial Reviews:
Produce monthly & quarterly financial results for senior management team and dealer network
Produce summary financial report monthly to allow for internal analysis of Dealer Financial information
Dealer Recognition Program
Produce Monthly report for distribution to Audi Dealers, highlighting performance within #1 Team Audi and Performance Club
Drive dealer results through engagement and transparency of the program
Vehicle administration and logistics of Audi Sport and Training fleet
Assistance with Power Point presentations, research and support for Network Development
Report generation and mailings
Scanning of Dealer Files – creation of electronic filing
What we’re asking for:
Must be currently enrolled in University in Business Administration or similar discipline (going into 3rd or 4th year); pursuing graduate level studies (MBA) is considered an asset
A great attitude and proven ability to be an effective business partner, team player, and collaborator
1-3 years of work, volunteer and/or educational experience, including financial/numerical acumen; financial analysis and data mining skills considered an asset
Proven success in high academic achievement
Partners at all levels of the organization, with ability to negotiate and influence to achieve results
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proven track record in organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented and resourceful with a high level of professionalism and tact; able to maintain strict confidentiality
Strong computer skills including advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
