DESCRIPTION

This role is accountable to define technical software solutions that meet defined business requirements with quality while following CN’s methodology. This involves leading teams and guiding development activities on multiple projects and ensuring the best/latest frameworks and tools are selected and integrated in the solution. This also involves collaboration with Project Managers, Architecture, Solution Integrators, Quality Leads and other technical teams on the infrastructure. The Development Lead will also ensure Development best practices and governance are being adhered to for all development deliverables.

The Development Lead will provide technical direction to a team of 4-8 employees while ensuring proper performance, training and quality controls are established and followed for each project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical guidance and support to team members (design and coding best practices, tooling, licenses)

Produce and evolve Development Practice (including framework, libraries, design patterns and coding standards)

Involved in creation and review of technical blueprints/designs

Develop/code key components in various projects

Conduct PoC and PoT to evaluate development frameworks and libraries

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor degree required

Strong experience as integration developer (min 5 years)

Experience as integration Development Lead (min 2 years)

Ability to work with many projects simultaneously.

Provide guidance and support to team members

Understand and follow corporate processes (e.g. SDLC & SOX processes)

Functional/technical proficiency with large projects

Excellent knowledge of SOA, EAI, ESB, BPMS, Messaging, API, EDA development best practices

Experience in various integration development concepts: Message transformation, Pub/Sub, Streaming, Async messaging, Web Service.

Experience with development technologies and tools: SOAP, WSDL, REST, XML, EDI, IBM Integration Bus, IBM Websphere Datapower, Eclipse.

ASSETS

Experience with DevOps

Experience in Development Practices and proven methodologies (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall)
