The Rehabilitation Society is a registered charity that provides services & programs to mentally & physically challenged adults. We currently require a volunteer to co-ordinate our Art Program. If you are self directed and have a background in arts, we would like to speak with you. Our programs are non-structured, and designed to meet the needs of individuals on a one-to-one basis. Our Art Program is usually held on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00PM to 3:00PM, but we can be very flexible to accommodate the right volunteer, if the hours don't work for them. We would also encourage applicants to work with various mediums giving the participants exposure to different facets of art. If you have experience with painting, that would be an asset, as the participants in our Art Program produce paintings that we use to design a calendar, featuring their work as a fundraising effort for our organization.

We also require a volunteer to assist in our humour and comedy program called Laughing Allowed, which takes place on Friday mornings from 10:00AM to 11:30AM. Volunteers will work from a prepared set of lessons and assist the instructor in working with individual participants. No previous comedy or humour experience is required - just bring a smile and be open to having fun!

If either of these opportunities are appealing to you - please get in touch with us - we'd love to hear from you!
