Flextek provides support for retail technology upgrades solutions for retailers throughout North America. The Project Manager will report to the Director of Field Operations and will be part of the team that is responsible for retail technology deployments throughout Canada._

Overview:

Retail POS Support Technician will provide on-site technical support for major Retail clients. These services include documenting and closing scheduled service request: Install, Moves, Adds, Changes and Upgrades. All service request will be documented via FlexTek ticketing system with pictures and closing notes.

Technician will provide support for installation and upgrade of for Retail Networks, Servers and Camera Systems. Technician will work with Centralized NOC to ensure all work is completed and documented according to Scope of Work (SOW) provided.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Monday - Thursday

o Work after hours to perform network, server and camera system upgrades

· Work with NOC agents to ensure all work is completed prior to store opening.

· Provide patient and professional support focused on customer experience

· Close open tickets and verify all documentation is complete prior to departure

· Engage with support teams while owning the results

· Understand local network and client configurations including OS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs and other site-specific configurations

· Work independently and as part of team to understand and document system configurations, processes, tools and procedures to expedite resolutions

· Monitor and track issues to identify trends and suggest proactive resolutions to potential problems

· Actively work on technical skill development to ensure maximum contribution in working environment

· Experience running, terminating and testing structured cabling

Requirements

· Bachelor or Associate Degree in related field OR

· Comp TIA A+ Certification OR

· Equivalent combination of education and experience

· Minimum 2 years related experience

· Ability to lift up 40 lbs

· Reliable Transportation

· Ability to pass drug screen and background check

Preferences

· Comp TIA Network+

· Microsoft or Cisco Certification

· Experience working with work order tracking system

· Demonstrated experience successfully resolving support issues with NOC support

· Experience with DVR based analog and digital camera systems

· Experience running, terminating and testing CAT5e/CAT6 and Coaxial cable

Tools

· Windows 10 Laptop with current Virus and Malware

· Putty

· Cisco Console Capabilities

· LogmeIn compatibility

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $30.00 to $35.00 /hour
