Job Purpose: To produce all orders required by business volume and supervisor, as quickly and efficiently as possible, and to produce the highest quality product. Also, to produce all orders on an a la carte basis and to prep for buffets, banquets, salad bars and hors d' oeuvres.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Delegates food orders during service to appropriate cooks to ensure food is prepared and presented in an organized, timely manner.
  • Prepares stocks, sauces, soups
  • Cleans and prepares all protein items
  • Designs and implements pre-approved daily specials
  • Trains and supports Second and Third Cooks during daily operations
  • Prepares menu items according to Embassy Suites recipe standards.
  • Reports any concerns with product, equipment or associate performance to kitchen management team.
  • Adheres to local health, safety and fire procedures and laws.
  • Follows all company and job-specific safety policies, and reports any accident and/or hazard immediately.
  • Stock inventory appropriately.
  • Meet daily with Supervisor to co-ordinate the organization for the restaurant also Banquet functions.

Job Skills:

  • 2 Year Culinary Experience.
  • Candidate must have knowledge of local health and safety and sanitation laws.
  • Knowledge of recent culinary trends an asset.
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.09 /hour

Licence:

  • Food Safety (Preferred)
  • Red Seal (Preferred)
