Our Project Management Team is looking for a dynamic and energetic person who excels in a team environment within the project management field. This person will have solid people skills and is comfortable working with diverse internal and external organizations such as managers, engineers, technologists, as well as national and international clients. As a self-starter, this person shall be expected to exercise initiative, frequently unsupervised, towards the overall goals of the project. Our team is looking for a good communicator with both written and oral skills and comfortable giving presentations to the project stakeholder team. Finally, the successful candidate must be flexible and adaptable in both a challenging and changing environment, frequently under tight deadlines.
WHAT WE DO
Specialize in underwater acoustic transducers and systems
Consult on the integration and testing of acoustic systems
Design and manufacture hydrophones and sound projectors
Simulate real world sonar experience with advanced tooling
Provide project oversight to include all planning, initiation, execution, progress and closing activities
Focal point for all communications to all project stakeholders with project progress
Supports clients in achieving the products and services articulated in the procurement order
Constantly adapt to meet changing requirements for clients
Identify all unforeseen events and risks, and present risk mitigation strategies/solutions to all stakeholders while preserving budgetary, schedule, and quality requirements
WHAT YOU DO
Create, monitor and analyze Level 1-3 schedules and key project milestones in sustaining the company’s Major Program Management Team with particular emphasis on critical path leading from engineering to procurement to manufacturing.
Lead and participate in interactive planning sessions to review and adjust preliminary schedules for formal issuance.
Regularly interface with engineering disciplines, project management staff and clients to define work scope, gather accurate engineering and project management data to update progress and provide reporting on the schedule for all project phases.
Produce and analyze manpower and resource loading schedules, and prepare histograms and other charts as required.
Participate in the analysis and mitigation plans of project risks and update reports.
Perform in-depth what-if scenario analysis as required
Perform logic analysis of schedules
Earned value management (EVM) reporting
Support estimate and budget development
Perform ad-hoc project analysis and support
Manage databases and generate reports
Perform other duties as assigned
A recognized degree in Engineering, Business or Program Management, technical school diploma or equivalent work experience such as Military Program Management
Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in construction, engineering and/or production industries as a project scheduler
Solid understanding of project cost control fundamentals with analytic skills and experience in technical data analysis, modeling and budgeting methodologies
Proficient in Microsoft Project and Excel
Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
Strong oral and written communication skills
Quality-focused with a strong attention to detail while being able to maintain a “whole project” perspective
Ability to adapt and work effectively within a dynamic team setting and also provide leadership when required
