Overall Accountabilities:
Assists in the development, execution and maintenance of marketing and communications strategies to meet IFDS business objectives. Works with internal customers and external partners to deliver successful marketing materials, collateral, presentations, events, communication support / tools and post program implementation assessments. Provides consultation to departments within IFDS regarding the most effective marketing and communication vehicles applicable to all our constituents including key stakeholders, employees, and international partners. May also assist with ongoing relationship management of key partners and stakeholders.

General Role & Responsibilities:
Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, press releases, advertising, collateral materials, social media, sponsorships and events, market research, and website design and content either directly or on an outsourced basis
Ownership of the company’s external web-site
Overall planning and execution of Corporate events for clients
Knowledge and experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite of products to design, create, and deliver marketing materials to support the expansion and growth of the company’s products and services
Collaborate with Product, Relationship Management and Sales colleagues to position the products and increase favourable brand awareness in the marketplace
Manage all activities related to brand: corporate identity, trademarks and execution through materials
Assist in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives to advance the positioning, awareness and reinforcement of the corporate brand, products and services
Assist in the development of product strategies to elevate brand awareness, enhance product positioning and deliver value-add materials to sales partners and relationship managers
Stay current with online trends and best practices, including online marketing techniques, site/user experience optimization, social media, metrics/measurement and conversion techniques
Identify and execute all tasks required to deliver successful conference, client forums or other large events including, but not limited to, liaising with vendors/suppliers, coordinating speakers and materials, delegating tasks to volunteers, promotion, registration and evaluation
Ensure events are creative, innovative, appealing, and align with IFDS Operating Principles

Oversee all internal and external communications (including regular newsletters and ad-hoc communication, and support for the employee Town hall)
Proven editing and writing skills and a track record of success are required. This position also requires an exceptionally organized, collaborative, flexible and effective writer/editor who has strong skills and professional experience, as well as a thorough understanding of various media formats and the communication skills required to work effectively with internal and external partners
Work closely with Sales and Relationship Management to develop and manage channel and partner presentations and communications support that position IFDS as the transfer agency of choice
Develop and maintain knowledge of IFDS products and solutions in targeting audiences and competitors
Manage all communication programs relating to IFDS in order to ensure excellence in the delivery and quality of employee and client communications, including quarterly commentaries, client reporting, product enhancements and product launches.
Work closely with key individuals to provide communications Assist in developing creative concepts and content for new marketing / communications vehicles
Provide communication counsel and advice to support internal customers, relationship management partners, developing communication that drives business results, supports employee engagement and protects and enhances IFDS’s reputation
Write compelling client communication materials, including brochures, speeches, presentations and company-wide emails, on behalf of senior executives that capture executives' "tone and voice" and ensures accurate spelling, grammar and error-free final copy
Respond to daily staff requests for communications support

Competencies: (Behavioral and Functional)

University Degree or College Diploma in Marketing
Minimum 5 years of marketing communications experience ideally in a B2B environment

Minimum of 3 years marketing experience within the financial services industry
Strong knowledge of the financial services and technology services industries, investment and mutual fund products and the regulatory environment
Strong attention to detail is a must
Ability to work autonomously while working within tight timelines/managing several projects simultaneously within a fluid environment
Proven experience in managing creative and marketing communications processes for all mediums, including mass, direct, collateral and online
High level of professional business acumen
A strong track record of developing and implement innovative marketing and product programs
Strong knowledge of processes supporting the development, production, and implementation of marketing programs and printed materials
Advanced knowledge of e-business marketing strategies and traditional B2B marketing, social networking, user generated content, emerging media, content management systems and Google Analytics
Ideally some knowledge of graphic software programs (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite)
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
