What you can expect in a typical day

As an Intermediate Financial Analyst you will provide assistance with financial statements and operating performance analysis. You will also support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, business case development, and evaluation to Finance management, leadership and operations teams. This is a 12 month term position that includes health and dental benefits.

What you’ll need to succeed:
Financial and operational reporting.
Produce and support quarterly reporting to the Audit and Risk Management Committee and Board
Produce monthly Cash Flow Steering Committee report and analyze results
Ad-hoc reporting as required.
Prepare variance analysis and financial/operational commentary.
Provides support for budgeting, business planning and forecasts.
Produce and support analysis and reports for Corporate teams
Mentoring and coaching junior employees and or non-financial professionals.

Must be able to maintain good working relationship and partner well with operations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong prioritization and time management skills.
Strong knowledge of MS office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail.
Good presentation skills.

Travel is not a requirement for this position.
Education and experience

Post-secondary education in finance or accounting, or equivalent experience, degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience working in finance or accounting.
Possess or working towards a professional designation such as CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) or CFO (Chartered Financial Analyst).
