Rogers is seeking a DevOps Lead to support analytical platform and services within our Data Management & Technology (DM&T) department. Reporting to the Manager, BI End User Application Support at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus, this role will be responsible for supporting and
maintaining various analytical applications.

What you will be doing…

Ensure production environment is stable and take proactive actions to avoid any issues/outages.
Provide quick resolution to any issues raised by stakeholders/End users.
Ensure day to day process are running within expected SLAs.
Manage Reporting users and roles in order to enforce data security, while making sure all users have the necessary access to perform their tasks
Ensure that all the BI standards are enforced and help create new standards as per the need.
Perform problem determination and resolution.
Perform application optimization by working with developers, DBAs, End users and system support personnel
Lead/Perform installations, upgrades and maintain patch levels as required.
Manage and support technical changes being implemented into the environment
Restore system continuity by contributing to incident and disaster recovery
Maintain Rogers standards for application and workflows implementations and service
Troubleshoot issues such as connection, failed jobs, application errors, server alerts, space thresholds, etc. within predefined SLAs.
Proactively maintain and tune SQL code according to best practices of EDW, to prevent issues from occurring.
Provide optimization recommendations through historical analysis.
Increase application reliability and availability through process improvement.
Data analysis for Business Queries on the Reports.
Help tickets resolution and communication to End users.

What you have…

A college or university degree in computer science or related experience
3+ experience in ETL tools .i.e Informatica/ODI
5+ years of Experience working in a data warehouse environment
Solid troubleshooting/performance tuning skills.
Strong relational database skills (Oracle/Exadata)
Proficient in PL/SQL,Spark Scripting
Unix basic administration experience
Knowledge of Datawarehouse Methodologies and Processes
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Understand Relational and Dimensional data architecture concepts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of the change and Problem management processes.
Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and with others
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated business acumen, analytical, and teamwork skills
Ability to work/interface with multiple Lines of Business, geographies, and technologies.
Knowledge of the following Microsoft products: Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Visio
UNIX/Windows/Exadata platform understandings.
