We are expanding and opening an office in Montreal and looking to hire multiple Senior Software Engineers; Computational Engineers, Applied Mathematicians, System Designers, Operations Research Specialists, and Senior Data Program Managers.
Position: Systems Designer / ML Product Manager
Location: Montreal (Located/willing to relocate). Travel to the US.
The ideal candidate has a Systems Design undergraduate degree or equivalent and will focus on managing a team of expert researchers, developers and scientists, to successfully deliver ML working models and products. Execution is everything. Activities include program management, resource and people management (team, client, executive), and overall oversight of projects and product delivery.
Critical skills include; Project Management (Agile, scrums), business and data analysis (documentation, spreadsheets), and capturing business requirements. You have impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, and while you are not a 'coder', you are 'code aware' and have a holistic view of software development and technical data production. You have excellent customer facing skills, excellent documentation and proposal writing skills. If you have work experience, it is in Software Product Management.
You are execution-focused and have superb communication skills, including the ability to communicate between technical and non-technical contributors, and between project teams and senior leadership to get things done.
An understanding of big data, cloud platforms and APIs
Good knowledge of project and program management methodology and techniques
Experience managing data projects
Passionate about learning new technologies and approaches
Ability to work and negotiate with clients to deliver projects on-time, on-budget, and in-scope, given non-trivial risks and dependencies
