The Role - 4111 - Manager - Project Management - Brownsburg, QC
This role is part of the Orica global project management office (PMO) and provides project-related services to Orica’s initiating systems and packaged explosives manufacturing operations in Canada, the USA and South Africa. The project portfolio includes advanced manufacturing automation projects, as well as other equipment and infrastructure projects required to support world class manufacturing operations.
The PMO’s mandate includes the management and delivery of the manufacturing capital project portfolio. The Programme Lead is responsible for project performance and delivery success in the region. The Project Lead supports the Programme Lead by managing assigned projects to help achieve the business’ objectives. This includes day-to-day management of projects, close liaison with the Asset Owner and other stakeholders, resource control, scheduling, cost management, compliance with standards, safety, reporting and contract administration.
Responsible for successful planning and implementation of assigned capital projects in order to support the Asset Owner and achieve business objectives.
Manage external project managers, engineering teams and consultants.

Experience and Qualifications
Degree in an engineering discipline or in project management.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the management of capital projects in industrial environments.
Must be fluent in written and verbal English
Fluency in French, is an asset.
Experience in sophisticated manufacturing automation projects is preferred.
Must be a member of a professional order of engineers in Canada.
You must either have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or be eligible and interested to become certified.
