Role Summary:

Chubb Canada is currently recruiting for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will be responsible for performing several key functions, with primary focus on monthly variance analysis, reporting streamlining & automation, monthly forecasting and the development of the annual corporate plan & branch targets.

The applicant should have exceptional time management, multi-tasking skills and flexible hours as will be the primary contact with the finance group at regional and corporate head offices located internationally, which involves time differences, meetings at different hours and last minute submissions/consolidations.

Candidate must be a self-starter, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working knowledge of SOX, integrated ERP systems and have the ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with branch operations, regional financial managers and head office to measure, track and forecast financial performance. Main responsibilities involved, but not limited to:
  • Working with headquarters to report variance explanations & manage the monthly financial forecasting process
  • Responsible to manage Head Office FP&A deliverables & monthly reporting calendar
  • Working closely with the Accounting department to ensure monthly financial results are accurate and timely reported to all stakeholders
  • Consolidate, analyze & report monthly branch field productivity metrics, financial KPIs and standard reporting
  • Responsible of incentive compensations & Financial Modeling of new plans
  • Acquisition analysis and review of potential opportunities
  • 5 & 10 year strategic overviews
  • Restructuring analysis
  • Lead of the FP&A Department (2 FP&A analysts)

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of experience in financial planning, with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting
  • Prior HFM experience & an MBA designation will be a strong advantage
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, the use of developing and editing macros is considered a requirement
  • Possess a strong business background with a proven process improvement track
  • There may be limited travel within Canada and Europe as required
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced
  • Self-directed in a multi-tasking environment with constant pressure and time constraints
  • Excellent problem solving skills; proactive and solution oriented
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are required to succeed in this role
  • Strong ability to manage pressure and time constraints
  • Ability to exercise business judgment
  • Demonstrated experience in developing relationships; able to develop credibility and respect with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Ability to quickly identify, understand and manage organizational impacts of business strategy and process change
  • Proven ability to listen, influence and persuade others
  • Strong attention to detail
