The position is responsible for the management of multiple information technology (IT) projects, including the overall planning, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with the tri-agency strategy, commitments and goals. This position works collaboratively with project stakeholders and multiple functional teams to ensure project success. The Project Manager function also contributes to the continuous improvement of the project management processes, templates and practices.
Statement of Qualifications
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or a related IT field, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification considered an asset.
Recent*experience in IM/IT project planning, including estimating resource requirements for development, quality assurance, and business analysis
Recent* experience in coordinating and reporting on project risk and issue management or change control activities
Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Recent is within the last three (3) years
Knowledge of project management practices including scope, time, cost, and risk management;
Knowledge of information management and information systems’ principles and practices;
Ability to solve problems and provide recommendations
Ability to respond to requests under tight deadlines in a dynamic working environment
Ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Effective interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong problem-solving skills
