The Marketing Project Manager will support the marketing team, working on both individual and team projects, ensuring projects are well documented and up to date (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly), providing complete visibility to the marketing and sales teams as well as ownership.
The Marketing Project Manager is the ‘go to’ person for a myriad of requests. This role is fast-paced, interfaces with internal and external resources, and balances proactive very detailed planning with reactive problem-solving. This blended role also acts as an Executive Assistant to the Director of Marketing, including communication and project updates, some travel and correspondence with both internal and external stakeholders.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Day-to-day project management of all marketing activities, keeping the team on task, on time and on budget. Project samples to include advertising opportunities, PR opportunities, tradeshow activities, digital and social projects.
Running of weekly team meetings, providing updates on project(s) status, tracking and managing deadlines. Proactively flagging areas where there are potential risks to the project(s) and providing and leading solution implementation.
Executive Assistant responsibilities as required (10-15% of role) to Director of Marketing: travel and accommodation, expense management, some meeting bookings and team requirements run through the Director of Marketing.
Some external relationship management of vendors, service providers etc.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Applicable education, specialized knowledge, professional certification or affiliations.
3+ years of hands-on applicable and direct experience.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience with MS Word, Excel, PPT, as well as CRM and Project Management software.
A professional and articulate communicator, both oral and written.
Ability to anticipate needs and gain trust quickly.
Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple activities, multiple priorities and competing demands.
Excellent project management and time management skills of self and others.
