Job Description

The Colleague Engagement team, within the broader Customer & Colleague Experience team, is accountable for designing, implementing and overseeing the Legendary colleague engagement strategy for TD Insurance. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Colleague Engagement, the Manager, R&R and Events will lead a team responsible for the development and execution of the TD Insurance reward and recognition program, All Stars conference and executive conferences.

Main Responsibilities:
Program Development & Execution

Full ownership of executive conferences and events, including All Stars, the top performer program at TD Insurance
Responsible for all aspects of program development, event planning and event execution
Project management using comprehensive critical path documents / project plans to effectively and efficiently deliver high quality events. Development of contingency plans, when required, to ensure the smooth execution of all events
Venue/vendor sourcing, contracting and negotiations based on specified budgets
Oversight and development of event communication requirements including speaking remarks
Demonstrated business acumen to translate concepts and strategies into impactful and engaging conference agenda content and speaking remarks
Work closely with our CAPA partners, executive offices and special assistants and business partners to develop executive supporting documents such as executive briefing packages
Manage all aspects of AV requirements and work closely with the AV vendors and producers to oversee speaker presentations
Lead the development & execution of a Post Implementation Review for all events and provide recommendations to Senior Management team
Stay current on event industry trends and best practices and recommend and implement new, creative and innovated ideas to our programs

Relationship Management
Actively manage relationships and work closely with TD Insurance executive leadership and senior management to provide guidance, expertise, and counsel on event management activities, including acting as subject matter expert on event management best practices, projects, and initiatives for business partners
Strong collaboration with TD Insurance businesses, TD enterprise partners, Strategic Sourcing, Corporate HR and CAPA
Proven experience dealing and negotiating with external vendors
Colleague Engagement
Contribute to the development of reward and recognition strategies to enhance overall colleague experience at TD Insurance ensuring alignment with business objectives
Be the TD Insurance business lead for TD Appreciate!

Budget Management
Oversight of event budget management to ensure the delivery of quality programs and conferences within plan
Responsible for identifying and implementing program efficiencies, process improvement and cost saving strategies
Accountable for event reconciliation in an accurate and timely manner including invoice processing and cost centre charge-outs

Job Requirements

Highly motivated individual with proven track record of achieving results
Proven results in event management and strong experience in project management with a demonstrated ability to lead large multi-faceted projects or initiatives
Strong organization skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Demonstrated relationship building and leadership skills with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of impact and influence and by nurturing key relationships
Demonstrated ability to act as a catalyst for change within a business to enhance the colleague experience mandate
Proven track record of highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Bilingualism (English/French) would be an asset
Strong customer orientation and a professional approach with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
Self-motivated, team player with high energy and ability to work independently
Solid leadership skills including staff/team development, coaching and motivating with proven leadership capabilities
Ability to travel within Canada and outside of Canada
Ability to and to work variable hours driven by needs of the business
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Post-Secondary education

Additional Information

The Manager, R&R and Events will be required to attend all events, where a high percentage of travelling is required. Flexibility on weekends, early mornings and evenings is required during event planning peaks and during event execution.
