Continuous Improvement Process Coordinator
This position is an integral part of the Continuous Improvement team and reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager. The position of C.I. Coordinator offers exciting opportunities on our Continuous Improvement Team. We are looking for an individual who is energetic, productive, and can handle multiple priorities in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
Assisting Cell Leaders with innovative efforts to identify and drive out waste in key processes and improve cycle time in support of safety, productivity, and quality targets.
Supporting the deployment of the 5S program.
Developing, maintaining, and training to standard work cycle charts.
Partnering with associates to implement IRS ideas.
Facilitating, fully independently, a kaizen event with a cross-functional team, delivering sustainable result.
Acting as a first coach in Coaching Kata sessions, where needed.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing techniques.
An excellent manufacturing background, superior mechanical aptitude and proven problem solving skills.
3-5 years proven Lean Manufacturing knowledge, skills and experience within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in the following lean tools:
8 forms of waste.
Problem Solving (Issue, Root Cause, Solution).
Competency in MS Office tools.
Competency with AutoCAD.
A certificate in CME Lean Level I and/or CME Lean Level II (asset).
