The Alberni-Clayoquot Continuing Care Society is an independent, non-profit organization operating two long-term care Homes (Fir Park Village & Echo Village) in Port Alberni, British Columbia. We are currently accepting applications for full-time Employee Relations Manager.
The Employee Relations Manager has the responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the human resources plans and programs that support payroll and scheduling for Fir Park Village and Echo Village. This includes the planning, directing and coordinating the payroll and scheduling operations of the Department.
The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for the development of departmental policies and procedures; personnel supervision and support; resource management; and monitors, evaluates and coordinates these services with other programs and services offered in Echo Village and Fir Park Village.
This career opportunity is a full-time permanent position and you are a key member of the management team for two Homes serving 133 residents in the beautiful Alberni Valley of Vancouver Island!
Completion of a professional designation in recognized accounting program or a baccalaureate degree in Human Relations or Business Administration.
A minimum of two years experience in financial and staff management related to residential care, non-profit or government funded programs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, maturely and with integrity when working with residents, staff, families and community contacts; proven decision making and interpersonal skills; and competence in administrative and personnel management.
