Model the way for safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours in support of AgWest’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives as well as enforce customer safety rules
Provide direct supervision and direction to Sales Coordinators/Administrators, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, deadlines, and company codes of conduct. Manage staff and provide input into recruitment, perform performance reviews, train and cross-train staff, and serve as a member of our AgWest Management team. Act as key driving member for all projects and continuous improvement in responsible areas.
Generate new and used sales and rental invoices as machines are shipped, as well as, completing reports in the various systems, registering warranties and submitting credit claims to OEM’s and calculating commissions. Submit all financing documentation to FCC or OEM Finance arms as required
Establish stock numbers for all machines and input into system. Provide work order details to Service Department for all PDI, make-ready or used equipment repair authorizations as approved by the Sales Manager as part of the deal costings. Keep current all relevant systems including SMA, iQuote, IronHQ, COTI, etc
As appropriate, call for freight rates, arrange transportation for moves, and confirm insurance is in place (if not coordinated through third-party freight broker). Coordinate shipping with yard personnel. Ensure financial hedges have been arranged for orders coming from the factory.
Liaise with OEM’s, other aftermarket suppliers, coordinators, managers, salesmen and customers in a professional manner on a daily basis as required. Liaise with Service Department regarding sales machines in the shop. Liaise with the Credit Department regarding equipment financing status and requirements.
Complete reports on a weekly or monthly basis i.e. weekly activity report, weekly sales forecast report, write-down report, as well as in-branch reports. Other duties as may be required from time to time.
Key Qualifications
Post secondary education or work related experience
Significant knowledge of the agriculture equipment industry
Able to work well under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Exceptional teamwork skills
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate others to perform at a high level
Ability to manage several duties or projects at the same time
Computer knowledge essential, preferably in Microsoft Office, Excel and DBS
Able to get along well with others and to manage stressful situations
