What we need from you:
A Bachelor’s Degree in commerce, finance or accounting and a minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial lending, sales strategy development and leadership.

Financially savvy. You’ve garnered significant commercial banking experience that has allowed you to plan, execute and develop strategies that have resulted in you hitting your, and your team’s, targets and business goals out of the financial institution park.
Client focused. You have the tools to ensure proper stewardship strategies are implemented to exceed client expectations while maintaining positive relationships. You have proven business development, marketing and negotiation skills across small, medium and large mid-market commercial space.
A sales aficionado whose expertise can be translated to big wins and learning breakthroughs for their team. You have successfully developed and implemented effective sales strategies and plans while maximizing productivity.
A great coach . No matter how small or large, you’ve lead top teams while providing the right support and leadership to assist them to success. Your ability to establish a positive work environment that supports a fun, high-performing and diverse workforce is what sets you apart as an effective leader.
Someone who thinks creatively. You’re not the typical manager, and are we ever thankful for that. You have a knack for seeing issues that many can’t and have the right skills and experience to implement new and effective solutions.
What your day would look like:
As the second in command to the Branch Manager, not only will you foster an inspiring culture, but you will provide the right leadership strategies team can excel and reach their full potential.
Client and sales management:
Actively apply the right management strategies to ensure your team is fulfilling client expectations and tasks surrounding areas such as loans, deposits, cash management and financial advising. You will manage sales activities and focus to achieve targeted business growth mix and be responsible for managing the deal flow among the relationship manager team and assist with sourcing branch opportunities.
Together with the commercial credit team, you will utilize your risk management skills to ensure appropriate measures are put into place and risk assessment protocols and structures are implemented, while balancing risk and reward in line with CWB’s risk appetite.
Like a well-oiled machine, you will apply your administration experience to ensure the branch functions and meets with required policies and procedures.
Business development :
Provide advice and expertise to achieve client growth, activity planning, business forecasting, target-setting and sales process optimization.
You will connect and build relationships with a variety of partners, clients and your team to develop lasting relationships for you and the bank.
