The Senior Business Analyst is a newly created role that is focused on developing new processes, developing reports and performing the analytics required to support the team. This position will work directly with leadership from sales, supply chain, and manufacturing and collaborate closely with the Master Scheduler, and the Finance and IT teams. If the role is carried out successfully, the following outcomes will be achieved:
A Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP) and supporting tools will be effectively designed, rolled out and adopted in the organization, enabling effective mid-term demand and supply planning.
Real-time business performance data will be visually presented, providing effective, intuitive summary information as well as deeper insight (pareto and cause identification), while filtering out noise.
Elements of Industry 4.0 best practice will have been incorporated into operational monitoring systems e.g. digital twin.

Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborating with the business to prioritize, design, and implement improved processes and tools to support the leadership team.
Define requirements for new processes, and generate tools, data sets, and reports.
Identify, collect and consolidate unorganized data from multiple sources into meaningful and reportable data sets.
Support the sales and manufacturing teams by providing ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required by stakeholders.
Manage projects and track work progress and project status on a project-by-project basis.
Act as a power user for applications and tools and help with end user setup, support, and troubleshooting.
Work with leadership to prioritize open work and ensure that projects are delivering the highest value.

A university degree or technical diploma in data science or engineering, or equivalent experience
5 - 9 years’ experience in business or systems analysis in a discrete product manufacturing environment. Low volume / high mix experience would be an asset.
Business or Business Analysis experience supporting Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Sales Operations would be an asset.
A general understanding of operational principles, including knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) would be an asset. Industry 4.0 knowledge would also be of value.
A deep understanding of data methodologies as well as the skills necessary to structure and access data utilizing various methods.
Experience with reporting tools such as MS Power BI, Cognos, Crystal Reports, and Tableau.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communications skills essential.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and professionally in a dynamic environment while managing multiple demands and priorities.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and establish strong collaborative working relationships, including ability to develop rapport and buy-in with stakeholders.
Office environment with a flexible work schedule, potentially requiring work on evenings and weekends. Trained, as necessary, in required safety protocols.
Some travel required – approx. 20% (varies depending on base location)
