The role:

  • Requisitions supplies from the campus/fresh food store room.
  • Practices and documents proper storage and temperature controls of all supplies.
  • Receives and verifies that good received are correct- in quantity, quality and temperature.
  • Secures vehicles and buildings as required.
  • Uses assigned delivery communication as supplied.
  • Ensures cleanliness and sanitation requirements are met for loading dock, storage and common areas as required by food safety standards.
  • Loads and unloads delivery supplies as required for components and catering events
  • Delivers and distributes supplies throughout the department of Dining Services
  • Assists inventory counts with accuracy and records data
  • Practices safe food handling and documents deliveries/temperature controls at events
  • Reports concerns to distributor and/or operational manager
  • Miscellaneous duties as required

The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Minimum 2 years driving experience is required.
  • Must demonstrate the competent ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Numeracy skills.
  • Accuracy in reporting.
  • Inventory.
  • Provide customer engagement skills.
  • Maintain Food safety standards in receiving and delivery.
  • Must have full medical examination upon request.
  • Standing 65%, sitting 35% of the time.
  • Some heavy lifting required. Must be able to carry a load up to 23kg without strain.
  • Repetitive work and actions may include dish handling, catering event set ups.
