Based at the Detour Lake Mine site, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planner to join our Mobile Maintenance team reporting to the Senior Maintenance Planner.

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for scheduling resources for preventative maintenance requirements for mine equipment, while maximizing the productivity and availability of all applicable equipment at minimal cost.

Developing and implementing daily, weekly and monthly schedules for maintenance activities;

Providing analysis and interpretation of maintenance trends and variances;

Making recommendations to improve the maintenance system, initiating the required corrective action;

Issuing work orders in accordance with production requirements and resource availability;

Constantly monitoring outstanding work orders to determine maintenance status and report to clients accordingly;

Capturing and recording all maintenance activities, compiling maintenance reports according to departmental and client needs.

Valid trade certification or equivalent professional work experience with maintenance work routines is essential;

Minimum high school diploma or GED;

Minimum 3 years’ experience with maintenance of larger open pit mobile equipment, particularly cable shovels and drills;

Minimum 3 years’ experience with computerized maintenance information systems (such as SAP) and maintenance practices/methods is essential;

Minimum 3 years’ experience with the maintenance of mobile equipment;

Experience in a cross cultural work environment and mining industry is an asset.
