About the role

We are seeking a Accounts Receivable/Credit Representative at our Head Office, which is located in South Surrey, a fast-growing area in the Campbell Height Business District. The Accounts Receivable/Credit Representative plays a key supporting role in customer service internally with the E.B. Horsman salesforce and externally with E.B. Horsman customers. The accounts receivables clerk calculates, prepares and process’ bills and invoices, ensures that receivables are up to date and collected and recorded in a timely manner according to established procedures. They represent the values of E.B. Horsman and require strong interpersonal skills around communication including negotiation, diplomacy and follow through. The Accounts Receivable/Credit Representative will work closely under the direction of the manager & with the team, to achieve department goals that require collaboration, multi-tasking, and sizable dollar decision-making skills.

You will use best practices to assess the creditworthiness of an entity and recommend appropriate credit limits.

Detailed Orientated. Responsible for high volumes of processing payments with ongoing review of open credits and or debits in the sales system.

Collaborative Communication. Open, verbal, and written communication is integral to this role. You will be contacting a high volume of business invoicing and collections via phone and email.
Customer Service Orientated. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining professional, positive customer relationships, both internally and externally.

Who will excel:
Diploma or Degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
CCP designation is a strong asset
1-4+ years of experience in a similar risk analysis role, with knowledge of commercial law in B.C, Alberta & Saskatchewan
Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office & the ability to learn new software
Quick learner with attention to details
Proven ability to form strategic partnerships, build relationships and respect cultural diversity
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to consolidate large amounts of data and information into a succinct format
