Job summary
Resumes are being accepted for the casual part-time position of Administrative Clerk III to support the Sleeman Centre. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in social media and web page management, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills providing a high quality customer service and continuous improvement. Guided by the goals and objectives of the City of Guelph Corporate Strategic Plan and committed to the Corporate Values of integrity, excellence and wellness, the candidate will aid in the achievement of the Community Vision – to be the city that makes a difference.

Hours of work
Up to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.

Assist with weekly payroll entry and prepare timekeeping records for hourly employees.
Provide exceptional and professional customer service to both internal and external customers, via telephone, e-mail, and in-person accurately and efficiently addressing/resolving inquiries/complaints.
Provide clerical assistance for all areas of the Sleeman Centre Division including; typing of correspondence and reports, data entry, record keeping, minute taking, tracking of information for statistical reporting and distribution of information as required.
Provide back-up and support for Divisional administration in their absence or when required.
Act as a resource to the facility team.
Responsible for the Department general email box, which will include logging requests for service and/or responding to program and service inquiries.
Distribute Department mail.
Provide assistance with the processing of financial tasks – balancing of sales revenues and making weekly floats and recording sales reports.
Provide monthly statistical reports associates with job functions.
Proactively manage ScreenScape digital signage.
Responsible to organize, update, produce and coordinate all Sleeman Centre social media.
Accountable for website maintenance and material.
Assis with promotions and special events.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Considerable experience related to the duties listed above, normally acquired through a high school diploma and 2 to 3 year’s experience in office administration. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
A post-secondary education in a related field would be considered an asset
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, stakeholders and the general public.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively resolve customer inquiries/complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with work order management software and social media applications would be an asset.
Strong data entry skills with a very high degree of accuracy and speed.
A self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work on your own and in a team environment.
Able to manage multiple and changing demands and priorities.
$17.70 per hour
