Position’s Main Duties: Customer Service interactions, processing cash transactions, merchandising, store image, and any other duties directed by the Front Store Manager



· Offer friendly, efficient and courteous customer service during each customer transaction; ensuring superior customer service at all times

· Use proactive customer service skills to promptly assist customers to locate merchandise and answer customers’ inquiries accordingly

· Respond to internal and external telephone inquiries by adhering to Roulston’s telephone etiquette

· Maintain a neat and organized customer service and checkout area

· Accurately account for cash, coupons and credit receipts and lottery

· Answer inquiries regarding location of products, refunds, promotions etc.

· Present proper image to the public (appearance, uniform, name tag)

· Assist customers with photocopier and fax machines, as necessary

· Respond to any customer feedback with tact, professionalism and efficiency; a satisfied customer is the main goal

· Up sell items during promotions, as required by the Upper Management team

· Complete any other duties asked of you by your Front Store Manager or designated supervisor


· Gather information on customers' reactions to products and advise the Front Store Manager

· Locate and ship merchandise for store-to-store transfers if required

· Put stock away in an organized manner to maintain over stock efficiency and operation

· Clean shelves, fixtures, counters and windows, maintaining the best image for our customers

· Attend staff meetings as required


· Superior oral communication skills; ability to interact and build rapport with customers and business partners

· Excellent customer service and people skills; modelling exceptional customer service at all times

· Strong organizational skills; ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment

· Well organized; detail oriented and ability to record keep and verify documentation

· Excellent telephone manner

· Able to lift and move stock and unload trucks when needed (up to 50lbs)

· Ability to be open to a flexible schedule and available any day (including weekends)

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $14.00 per hour
