Summary

This position will work for our specialty sales (acoustical products) subsidiary in Ontario. It is suitable for a new grad or co-op student looking for an opportunity in a great company and industry. We are looking for the right person to join our team made up of dedicated and hardworking individuals who together create a rewarding and welcoming work environment.

Location - 50 Royal Group Cres., Vaughan, ON, L4H 1X9.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity take-offs and cost estimates for projects
Create sales estimates, source materials, and components
Communicate with contractors and suppliers to ensure understanding of the scope of work
Review project specifications and drawings and assist with pricing
Prepare detailed cost estimates and contractor submittal packages as required
Provide assistance as needed in the tendering processes sourcing specialty materials and pricing for customer projects
Arrange deliveries and pickups if and as required
Assisting in the presentation of the estimate/proposal
Setup, preparation, generation of documents that may include RFIs, shop drawings, schedules, quotations
Setup and filing as needed for the above-mentioned tasks
Prepare and submit purchase orders
Other duties as required
Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers

Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of quantity take-off procedures and blue-print reading
Engineering/Construction diploma/degree or equivalent experience
Good communication skills
Research abilities - general/pricing
Basic understanding of construction methodology
Basic trade/product knowledge
Technologically savvy - Basic AutoCAD knowledge and skills, experience using Microsoft Office, Plan Swift or On Screen Take-off
Attention to detail and mathematically inclined
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
