We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who has a vibrant attitude and a desire to work in a patient oriented environment helping patients achieve their best quality vision. As an optometric assistant you will have the opportunity to work one on one with patients, build strong patient rapport and make a difference in day to day life. An eye for detail and an ability to quickly develop a rapport with patients will be essential components of this position. You will also utilize your provided training to pretest patients, including taking highly magnified scans, peripheral testing, color vision, ect. A successful candidate must have a significant desire to grow and improve in their industry, a high level of motivation to complete independent training, and ability to multitask. We will require someone who has a high level of competency in learning new skills and an ability to quickly apply these skills independently. There is an opportunity for the right candidate to receive optical training as well and may be chosen to attend training to become a licensed Optician and continue to attend education sessions on a regular basis. Due to the length of time necessary to complete training we ask that candidates only apply if they have the intention of maintaining employment at our clinic for at least one year, and preferably longer. Candidates that are selected to be licensed optician will be required to sign an educational contract for long term employment.
