Many regional Canadian trucking companies started as a family enterprise but have been integrated into larger national corporations. At Carmen, we’re proud to still be a 100% family owned and operated transportation company. As a mid-size transportation company we have incorporated the processes, technology and training necessary to compete with much larger trucking companies. Yet, we have maintained the personal service approach that only a smaller organization can offer.

This is why we believe in choosing the right people to represent our company. We are looking for people that CARE as it’s ingrained in our culture with every truckload shipment placed.

We are currently looking to add a Driver Manager (AFTERNOON SHIFT) to our growing team!

We offer competitive salary, benefits and pension plan.

As the liaison between our trip Planner and our drivers, the Driver Manager will help ensure the smooth and efficient movement of inbound and outbound freight. Keenly aware of the importance of the best strategic use of trailers, and of both driver capabilities at any given time and customer deadlines, the Driver Manager will help maximize the efficiency and profitability of daily fleet operations. This will be achieved by managing a communication network relaying work assignments, messages, and information from the company to drivers via telephone, cell phone and messaging through Qualcomm. The role includes providing support in a fast paced, dispatch environment and will assist in completing operational activities in a timely and accurate manner.
