Who We Are – We are an engaging children’s soccer program (ages 2-8) with a focus on character development. Since 2012, we have been running soccer classes at childcare centres and parks throughout the Fraser Valley. Though we continue to grow, we are still a family business at heart - we treat our employees and coaches like a team and the children we teach like our own. We train our employees and coaches in leadership development, communication skills and early childhood education. The Job – You are the right hand of our Coaching Department. You work alongside our Director of Coaching to lead, organize and build culture within our coaches. Every day is different but your goal is always the same: assist in making the best coaches in the business. With your help, our coaches are able to provide every child a beloved growth experience. Hours – This position is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week. Expected working hours are approximately Monday-Thursday (10:00am-7:00pm) and Sunday mornings (8:00am-12:00pm) in our Langley office and out at our class locations. Additional hours may be required during events and the start-up of seasons.
Supervisor – Director of Coaching, Lex Schlossarek.
Work with the Director of Coaching to identify and hire potential coaches
Sit in on interviews with potential coaches
Train new coaches
Work with new and current coaches in various classes throughout the Fraser Valley to continue to develop them
Perform coaching reviews on current and new coaches
Respond to weekly coaching reports with productive feedback to improve overall coaching
Coach classes as needed
Various other tasks as needed
Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma
3+ years of experience with children aged 2-8 years old, ideally in but not limited to coaching
Class 5 driver’s license
Legally able to work in Canada
Strong background in soccer, desired but not required)
Passion for the Soccer Shots mission
A love of children and athletics
Customer service mentality
Commitment to continued personal and professional development
Strong, timely written and verbal communication
Ability to work collaboratively with teams
Ability to manage multiple coaches
Ability to self-manage
$40,000 salary, opportunities for advancement and increased pay after satisfactory performance reviews
