Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Strategy, the Sr. Manager of Strategy has two primary responsibilities.
First, they are responsible for supporting the development of Canada Goose’s corporate strategy, working closely with the executive team and CEO - providing thought leadership, problem solving, analysis, workshop facilitation, recommendations, and materials preparation. They will be supported by a team of analysts & associates over whom they will have managerial responsibility.
Second, they are responsible for leading key strategic priorities and projects for Canada Goose, working and partnering closely with other functions to execute the priorities (in other words, to make our strategic priorities a reality). In this role they will work closely with their peers in other parts of the business, as well as with relevant senior executives.
Lead development of the corporate strategy – providing thought leadership, problem solving, analysis, workshop facilitation, recommendations, and materials preparation
Lead key strategic priorities and projects for Canada Goose, partnering with relevant functional leads and teams as a thought partner, problem solver, and project manager
Engage cross-functionally and becomes a trusted advisor to other parts of the business
Support synthesis of materials (e.g., for presentation to the CEO or Board)
Manage, train, and develop a small team of business analysts & associates
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
7+ years work experience ideally at a top-tier consulting firm, Big 4 accounting firm, or in an internal strategy department for an apparel company or retailer
Formal people leadership experience – across people development, and project leadership
Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and make recommendations on strategic questions
Proven ability to manage large projects covering multiple departments/stakeholders
MBA, JD or other advanced professional degree an undergraduate degree in a discipline that teaches quantitative analysis and critical thinking (e.g., business, accounting, marketing, computer science, engineering, law, mathematics)
Must be fluent in English

Typical office environment – combination of desk work + active meeting facilitation
Some travel required (<10-15% of total work time)
This is a 1 year contract with opportunity for permanent hire
