AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm is currently seeking Millwright Foremen to join our CNRL-Albian project team this Fall Pitstop season in Fort McMurray, AB. This is a temporary role.
Start date: November 12, 2019
Travel: Charter flights are provided from Calgary and Edmonton, and shuttle services from Fort McMurray or Surrounding areas

Millwrights install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in sites such as factories, production plants and recreational facilities.
+ Lead a small group of employees in the same trade, playing an intermediate role between workers and supervisors and is responsible for the smooth and safe operation of the team, helping the workers to meet goals, and mediating concerns with upper management
+ Coordinates the team and is responsible for applying policies and procedures.
+ Involved with, and supportive of, disciplinary actions brought about by supervisors.
+ Other duties may include arranging for extra workers, evaluating the quality of work of team members, organizing crew tasks, maintaining work standards, resolving issues between team members, and mentoring apprentices
+ Promotes a safe work environment and is responsible for the safety of the crew with a clear understanding of any related occupational and safety laws.
+ Ensure team members comply with safety regulations, identify a need for safety training, complete an initial safety and hazard assessment, participate in accident investigations, and see to timely resolution of safety concerns
+ Accountable for team’s ability to meet production goals and may identify requirements for specific materials or tools and communicate these requests to the appropriate person to support team production.
+ Inform supervisor of any scheduling conflicts and assists in resolving them.
+ Understands the need to prioritize work schedules to meet goals
+ Reports into Trade or General Foreman, depending on size of the project.
+ May report directly into Superintendent if smaller project.

2. Qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.
+ Certified Journeyman and or holds a valid recognized credential
+ Construction Safety Training System (CSTS-09) Certification required
