Reporting to Chief Marketing Officer

CONTRACT POSITION: For a period of 12 months.
As the leading high-end men’s wear clothier in Canada, Harry Rosen has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a contract Marketing Manager, which will be responsible for Harry Rosen, DAVIDS and the Outlets marketing operations. The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
Plan and develop project budgets according to overall marketing plans: On a seasonal basis, prepare and manage projected expenses/budgets for all communication elements based on briefs developed in consultation with the Chief Marketing Officer.
Plan, develop and execute media plans: On a seasonal basis, facilitate the development of media plans, oversee the preparation of production scheduling, monitor production and budget and manage internal feedback and approvals. Prepare and manage briefs and source required materials and partners, liaise with all external suppliers, and oversee internal communication of marketing initiatives:
Manage the window signage and P.O.P process: Determine, coordinate and facilitate signage requirements with internal partners and external suppliers on a seasonal, promotional and event basis.
Manage direct mail process (Harry Magazine, Outerwear Booklet, Holiday Gift Guide, etc…): Provide a production schedule for all direct mail pieces, develop briefs, oversee execution of distribution plans, and spearhead post-project analysis
Manage online media content (web assets, email, online advertising): Coordinate and develop all content through internal and external partners.
Manage ad-hoc advertising and other media: Manage the process for events and other requests, and facilitate the development of other media through coordination with media contacts.
Coordinate photoshoots and manage process : Develop briefs and oversee/facilitate all arrangements including stylist and model selection, delivery/return of merchandise, and attend photo-shoots.
Maintain an awareness of Company activities, strategic initiatives and industry trends, review media options and make recommendations.
Manage and provide leadership to Marketing Assistant and Social Media & Public Relations Specialist
All accountabilities require strong Project Management skills, specifically:
Defining project scope : Defining the goals, briefs, establishing the deliverables and ensuring the project/marketing communication initiative undertakes all the work required
Managing budget : Assessing the cost of each deliverable and keeping it within budget
Designing workflows and communication: Establishing an effective and efficient workflow with internal and external partners, suppliers, medial planners/buyers and creative teams
Managing progress: Ensuring all communication initiatives are delivered on time and based on marketing plans
Assuring quality: Guaranteeing that all deliverable work is up to the benchmark established
Managing risk : Undertaking a 'risk assessment' to anticipate potential risks and develop strategies for addressing them, and undertaking post-mortem analysis to continually develop best practices
The successful candidate will have the following background and experience:
University Degree in Marketing is required
8-10 years of experience in a similar position
Demonstrated ability to work with numerous internal/external resources and departments to reach objectives
Demonstrated experience in managing external media planners and buyers, and creative teams
Excellent relationship building skills
High detail orientation
Working knowledge of ‘digital space’ technology
Strong sense of urgency
Strong customer service orientation
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of the fashion/retail industry an asset
