Purpose of position:
To assist the Plant Manager to maintain and repair the food processing machinery to ensure an effective and efficient daily operation.
Performing diagnostics, maintenance, repair, setup, start-up and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controller Machinery including but not limited to: carton packer machines, cup fillers machines, extruders machines, flow-wrappers machines, metal detector machines, palletizer machines, and vacuum packing machines
Performing diagnostics, maintenance, repair, HVAC, setup, start-up and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controller Equipment including but not limited to: agitators, blenders, and dosing pumps
Performing routine inspections/ maintenance on company operated buildings to ensure effective, efficient, and safe operations
Assisting with preventive/ regular maintenance on manufacturing equipment/ machinery
Operating and maintaining high/ low-pressure boilers, hot water system, and water treatment plant
Qualifications (An Ideal Candidate):
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized educational institution
4th Class Power Engineer Certification or higher
5 years or more experience working in a food manufacturing plant is preferred
Must be flexible to work various shifts including evenings, Weekends and Holidays.
Working level proficiency in the English Language
Advance knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting of packaging machinery
Advance knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller machinery
Advance knowledge of Ammonia refrigeration and other refrigeration systems is preferred
A medium level in interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain/ repair electrical and instrumentation systems
Ability to read, interpret, and understand mechanical blueprints
Ability to work: alone/ around others/ with others
