Make a difference in your community and the lives of adult Individuals with developmental disabilities. Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) Calgary Region, Graduated Supports, provides a residential support service and has an opportunity available.

Working as part of several teams, you will be providing daily living supports to 6 individuals per team, individuals with significant developmental disabilities and complex medical needs. Care is provided 24 hours per day in the security of a residential setting. The incumbent would be expected to provide individuals with a high quality of life. This position is a wage casual/on-call position required to support the programs and the facility.

Key responsibilities will include basic health care, personal care, administering medications, following all care plans and instructions. This opportunity typically expects the incumbent to support up to 6 individuals in their personal, recreational, and social and leisure activities, and to assist with achieving their personal goals. Incumbent would be expected to liaison with families/guardians and stakeholders in the community.

High School Diploma including a minimum of 1 year of related experience working in a group living, residential care or related care setting.
  • Assets preferred include: experience with mechanical lifts, First Aid, Personal Care Aid Certificate, and experience with medications.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver?s license recognized by the province of Alberta.
  • Candidates must be able to work all shifts including; days, afternoons, awake overnights, and weekends.
  • A Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check will be required.

$21.59 - $24.82 Hourly
