Market Insights, a new team, is focused on providing proactive and actionable client and market insights to identify a new understanding into the market, our competitors, our clients and their industries. The Senior Data/Business Analyst, is a key role within the team in using data and analytics to provide accurate, consistent and meaningful insights that enable leaders to drive growth and make intelligent data driven business decisions.

What you will do: Responsible for end-to-end data processing execution, including capturing, maintaining and integrating data sources from multiple sources, websites, databases, etc. and proactively identifying new data sources Analyze and translate structured and unstructured internal and external data to tell compelling, insightful and data-driven stories to better understand our market and identify new opportunities Find emerging patterns to provide insights to determine relevancy to business, and identification of trends and opportunities for KPMG Provide rigorous assessment of the accuracy, validity and reliability of gathered information, and assist in the development of and apply a data governance strategy Performs data mining, trend and predictive analysis Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise to the team in all aspects related to analytics and data science Analyze, transform, and interpret data for the development of insights, reports, visualizations, and dashboards, emphasizing usability and good design practices Takes a 360 degree view of data, connecting technical data solutions to better understanding our clients, markets, competitors and industries Strive to provide industry leading analytics, reporting and dashboard capabilities that create a competitive advantage for our business partners by providing actionable intelligence Support and deliver meaningful reporting and analytics, including insights and trend analysis Suggest solutions and strategies to business challenges and work internally to help drive solutions forward to implementation Proactively monitor market, client, competitor, economic, etc. developments and validate, test, with existing data to help understand impact Collaboration with other internal Data & Analytics teams Foster innovation through the exploration of new tools and techniques to continually evolve the Market Insights roadmap Work alongside the rest of the Market Insights team and other stakeholders to establish business needs and other projects as requested What you bring to the role: Bachelor degree in Data Programs, System Architecture, Systems Engineering, Stats, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics Deep knowledge in analytics, statistics, data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, mathematics Must have experience in managing and processing data from Excel, text, other structured and unstructured databases Intellectual curiosity, analytical acumen, strong problem-solving skills Critical thinking, writing, presentation, attention to detail and project management skills, including time-sensitive projects Analytical mindset with the ability to look at data and information and summarize into intelligence that can be acted upon by the business Ability to think logically and analytically towards solving complex problems Develop expert-level understanding of our businesses, data streams and industry positioning Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, lead data projects, and be a self-starter Keen ability to work with large volumes of unstructured data and experience with relevant data sources and, identifying appropriate data sources and scraping data from these sources Knowledge of relevant coding languages including R, SQL and Python and knowledge of when or how to apply these languages to meet programming objectives Well-developed business acumen and analytical capabilities with the ability to consolidate inputs into clear, concise analysis and recommendations A desire to learn, share and collaborate, and a positive attitude to 'get it done' and takes initiative Learn more about where a career at KPMG can take you.
