Primary Focus:
Provides planning and schedule coordination services related to equipment outages. Focused on bundling/prioritizing maintenance work/projects from stakeholder input, for system optimization within the Region and across Regions in order to maximize equipment availability

Responsibilities:
Outage Coordination:
Provide schedule coordination services by collaborating with impacted stakeholders to bundle/prioritize maintenance work/projects within the region and across regions.
Collaborate with Nominations Planning, Shipper Services, Control Center Operations (CCO), and appropriate upstream and downstream Outage Coordinators in other Regions to align and coordinate maintenance work/projects to effectively plan common line outages to minimize rate loss and increase throughput and revenue streams.
Responsible for communication and scheduling assistance of maintenance work/project priorities to impacted Regional Groups/Projects.
Construction Maintenance Coordination Committee (CMCC) Regional representative.
Develop and communicate outage schedule calendar and regular outage updates to Region and impacted stakeholders.
Facilitate the sharing of labor resources across the region in order to maximize the work performed and minimize required equipment downtime.
Act as the Region point of contact for maintenance opportunities on short notice. Engage Region/Project personnel, gather input, submit Capacity Outage Planning Approval System (COPAS) requests as needed and provide feedback on behalf of the Region.
Oversee and provide assistance and training on the COPAS process for the Region.
Assist Regional stakeholders to ensure outage plans are timely submitted to the CCO Engineers for safe work approval. Follow-up with CCO Engineers on status of COPAS requests.
Responsible for coordination and communication with CCO for work during outages with work at multiple sites within the Region.
Lead Region CMCC investigations for outages that deviated beyond acceptable limits from the plan.
Regional single point of contact for outage communication with CCO Engineers and Scheduling Groups.
SME liaison between Regional Operations, Project Personnel, CCO, Scheduling, Asset Performance and Nominations Groups for outage scheduling in the Region.
Assist with emergency response activities as required.
Document performance results and communicate these results as directed.
Proactively identify problems and or improvement opportunities and work to address them leveraging the regional team.
Support the Athabasca NWT Area in the Planner Role to assist the Area Supervisor & techs with future maintenance activities such as maintenance planning and scheduling, outage coordination, procuring maintenance related materials and developing work order requests

Qualifications:
Required:
Completion of 2- year technical degree or 7-10 years of experience in a related engineering or technical role. 4 years of related pipeline related project work experience.
Strong project management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong scheduling skills and proficiency with scheduling software, Microsoft Project / Primavera.
Strong documentation skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good computer skills, (Microsoft Word and Excel Programs)
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to set improvement goals related to minimizing outage duration and lead the team within the region to achieve these goals.

Preferred:
4-year degree from an accredited technical or engineering program
Experience using computerized maintenance management system (Maximo)
Experience using capacity outage planning and safe work approval (COPAS)
Knowledgeable in oil/gas pipeline operations is desirable.
