As a Business Development Manager, your role within Summit is that of a "hunter". This is an outside business to business sales role. Your primary focus is to build and maintain a pipeline of prospective commercial fleet clients, with the purpose of growing Summit's account base. You are an expert at building and maintaining successful long-term relationships with prospects, while managing customer specific strategic initiatives. Your ability to deliver proactive recommendations and cost reduction strategies will help ensure perpetual retention of our clients. You are ultimately responsible for ensuring Summit reach new client growth targets.
Identify and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects
Develop and maintain relationships with all people involved in the decision process
Ability to present proposals and solutions to all levels of staff, including executives
Maintain and share knowledge of competitors in this market
Communicate with Summit Client Service and Account Management staff regularly
Participate in ongoing Summit sales training and industry product learning
Maintain a database of qualified prospects within Summit’s CRM.
Post-Secondary education with business/financial degree is preferred
2 years of proven success in a business development or account management role
Strong written, oral, and presentation skills are required
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of leasing, financing and fleet management practices is and asset.
Base salary, monthly commission, and bonuses
