The Revenue Management team manages day to day and long term strategic revenue optimization for WestJet. What is Revenue Management? It isn’t accounting and it exists in many industries. It is why roses cost more on Valentine’s Day than the week after, why hotel rooms in Las Vegas cost more on the weekend than mid-week, and why sometimes there are seat sales for flights many months in advance. Using forecasts of future demand and continual re-optimization of fares, in-depth analysis and market strategy, the Revenue Management team balances guest promise with supply and demand.
