Community Health Centre offers a variety of services in one location. The types of services delivered depend on patient needs and on whether comparable services are available nearby. Centres that offer one type of specialized outpatient care procedure (such as eye surgery) are classified based on that service.

Our Health Center has a treatment Room with basic medical supplies provided for patient care. We use Med Access Software and have a paperless office. There is acute care nursing on site twice a week, public health nursing 5 days a week, and an accredited Diagnostic Imaging Program 4 days a week. There is a blood collection lab services 2 days a week. Also at the health Center are: a monthly foot care clinic, weekly options for sexual health clinic, and monthly educational health prevention clinics.
Lumby & District Health Services Society manages the building and provides health information services to the public. The Society provides financial support for equipment to be used at the Lumby Health Centre.
Lumby's geographic location means hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, climbing, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, swimming, boating and hang gliding are incredibly accessible. And if all of that isn't enough, a short drive will take you to Silver Star Ski Resort for world renowned skiing and snowboarding.

For Lumby there are two rural incentives available:
Recruitment Bonus - $5,000 (for full time position), and,
Rural CME of $2,200/yr after 4 years in community
Note: any Rural Program incentive rates could change at any time but current rates will be confirmed at time of hire.
There is also rural locum support for up to 28 days each year when locums are available.
