Mission and Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager captures the potential needs of the market and engages with customers throughout the entire sales process (from prospecting to signing the contract). He/she plays a key role in communicating effectively with customers in order to build trust and lasting relationships. He/she is the privileged point-of-contact and the owner of the client relationship. As an ambassador of Alizent, the Business Development Manager is responsible for strengthening the relationship with his/her customers, promoting and selling our solutions and services, gathering customer needs and expectations, as well as acting as the main post-sales point-of-contact for the customers.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for capturing opportunities, generating growth and creating value in his/her designated client territory or solution domain in accordance with management strategy.

Main Activities

  • Participate in commercial strategy and identify areas for prospecting.
  • Responsible for revenue growth and for defining appropriate strategies and tactics to achieve goals and to ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
  • Prospect, select and target new accounts.
  • Identify value added projects with customers
  • Validate the final rendering of the contract and its annexes in accordance with the offer.
  • Achieve company sales targets aligned with the company’s strategy.
  • Identify key stakeholders (Business Owner, Budget Owner, Decision Maker) and gain in-depth insight into client organization.
  • Position, adapt, and promote solution offered to prospects or customers to best meet their needs and objections/claims and in accordance with Group organization and strategy.
  • Analyze competition and regulations (if applicable) when developing a proposal.
  • Network with other commercial teams within Alizent to share information regarding prospective clients by participating or organizing events in order to generate leads and to maintain a partner network
  • Manage the proposal process, lead kick-off meetings, ensure participation throughout the project organization, and coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Steer the construction of technical and financial proposals for all types of projects with the appropriate resources (Team Managers, Experts, Project Managers, Solution Managers) in conjunction with Project Managers.
  • Follow KPI to improve activity and manage customer satisfaction.
  • Make cold calls (prospecting - phone, emails, in-person meeting). Maintaining good visibility in the market in order to stay on top of changing industry landscapes
  • Leverage CRM software through regular and consistent use
  • Build opportunity case and structure information collected in a way that all team members have the right information to pursue their work. Able to handle complex sales.

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related domain (Technologie, or related to the market targeted)

Additional Diploma in Management, Sales, Marketing and/or Administration

IT knowledge / or strong interest in the subject

Knowledge and/or network in the market targeted

Complex sales management skills

Time Management & prioritization skills

Solid analytical and problem solving abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Interpersonal and presentation skills
