Look no further. G-Tel Engineering is hiring and training a new Meter Reader to complete a large project across the GTA. G-Tel Engineering is part of the Oakville Enterprises Corporation family, which includes multiple growing companies providing electrical distribution infrastructure, energy and power generation services.

As our new Meter Reader, you’ll collect and report on gas meter data available on residential homes.

Your tasks will include:
Gathering equipment needed each day and route schedule
Driving to residential homes following a daily scheduled route
Reading gas meters on houses and logging the information
Reporting if a meter cannot be read, ensuring all data is properly tracked
Communicating with supervisory team regarding

Valid G class Ontario driver’s license, access to your own vehicle, and a clean drivers abstract
Ability to pass a criminal background record check
Strong ability to read, write, and speak English
One year of work experience in any general labour, warehouse, manufacturing, construction, or similar position
Comfortable working outside and physically able to be on your feet walking for the duration of your shift
