Job Title: Warehouse Associate/Manual Material Handler
Reports To: Warehouse Manager

SUMMARY: To pull, package and load material for customer orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Pick material (by hand, forklift, or pallet jack) for orders by following picking slips provided by customer service representatives
Arrange material on pallets as necessary, and deliver picked orders to the packaging area. Strap, stretch wrap, bubble wrap or box shipment, as directed.
Using shipping software to create BOL’s and shipping labels
Attach shipping labels to finished packages prior to shipment.
Load trucks by matching bill of lading with material ready for shipping.
Load material on trucks with forklift or pallet jack and complete all appropriate documentation, including pallet itemization sheets.
Maintain clean, organized working, warehouse and yard areas, including trash removal, sweeping and snow removal.
Complete daily maintenance checklist for equipment, as assigned.
Cross-trained in all other positions in the warehouse for back-up purposes.
Unload trucks and count stock.
Perform other duties as assigned or directed by Warehouse Manager
Follow Company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma and 3 years+ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to provide basic customer service to customers arriving to pick up orders.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of Canadian money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
80% of this job requires manual material handling and 20% requires machine operation or paperwork.
Manual material handling of 5 – 40lbs frequently, 40 – 60lbs occasionally, 60lbs+ rarely (60lbs+ done as team lift or with help of machinery)
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and talk or hear.
Certified Counterbalance/Reach Operator (Licenses required – 3+ years’ experience)
