Overlooking Harrison Lake, the Harrison Hot Springs Resort offers the following amenities: five mineral hot springs pools, the Healing Springs Spa, three restaurants and a coffee bar, extensive banquet and catering options, Resort Golf Course and Resort Marina.

POSITION SUMMARY:

To provide relaxation massage, hot stone massage, body treatments, etc for our guests in a timely fashion. Ensure complete guest satisfaction and maintain a high standard of cleanliness at an efficient cost level. Understand, implement and be conscious of the resort’s Environmental Management System stewardship initiatives whenever possible.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Requires the incumbent carries a minimum of $2m coverage for liability insurance
  • Requires the incumbent has a registered GST number
  • Requires the incumbent is registered as a firm in good standing with WorkSafe BC (the Workers Compensation Board of BC)
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Able to follow treatment procedures in order to create a consistent environment for Spa client
  • Able to communicate in a professional manner the steps taken during treatment with Spa clients
  • Able to work safely and securely in a manner that protects the integrity and safety of the guest, associates and hotel
  • Able to work in a friendly, efficient and effective manner with both guests and fellow associates

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Required to have certification for Massage and Spa Treatments
  • Minimum 1 year of proven experience in guest service, preferably in a full service spa environment
  • Minimum 1 years of proven hotel/resort experience in a luxury, full-service resort preferred
  • Exceptional massage therapy knowledge, skills and techniques
  • Ability to suggestive sell products and upsell
  • Proven excellent customer service and communication skills required
  • Proven outstanding listening and problem solving skills required
  • Proven previous experience as both an independent worker and as a team player required
  • Proven Safe Work and reliable attendance record required
  • Proven organizational skills required
  • Being multi-lingual is an asset
  • Flexible to a changing schedule
