STARTING SALARY: $30.22 per hr
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Fleet Administration, monitors proper functioning of Fleet related programs regarding electrical and ventilation equipment/systems and performs general maintenance and repairs as required.
Maintains and monitors building electrical system; performs minor rewiring work; locates and if possible repairs problems.
Repairs motors, power tools, extension cords and trouble lights;
Procures services and material;
Supervise work performed by contractors, including site visits for quotes and tenders;
Inspects and maintains portable heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems and performs minor repairs;
Performs carpentry work including renovations, building counters, tables, and cabinets, etc and fabrication of structures for Fleet service areas;
Ensure proper records are kept for maintenance and service on all assets;
Monitors and maintains records of invoices for warranty and budget purpose;
Performs plumbing repairs and maintenance;
Performs general building inspections, repairs and maintenance for Fleet service areas;
Maintains and repairs fuel dispensing equipment;
Perform landscape, horticulture as well as snow clearing duties for Fleet services areas
Co-ordinates and maintains key system for Williams Parkway, Sandalwood Parkway and Traffic Division including Bookkeeping of keys and padlocks
Performs regular inspection of safety equipment including fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
High School (Grade 12) graduation plus an additional program of up to one year or equivalent. (Systems Maintenance through BOMI preferred)\
Over two (2) years, up to and including four (4) years experience in building maintenance.
Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
