We’re looking for a Credit Supervisor to join our Burnaby, BC global headquarters
The Supervisor is responsible for managing the Credit/Lender Desk team at Ritchie Bros. Financial Services (“RBFS”). The purpose of this team is to evaluate all customer credit applications to determine best lender to maximize probability of conversion.
In this role you’ll:
Ongoing development and enhancement of the lender selection model based on the requirements of each lender to maximize efficiencies for RBFS and all lenders
The Supervisor will develop and implement a plan for the team to maximize the conversion of all pended transactions that require additional information by the lender. The Credit/Lender desk team will be responsible for transactions from A) when sales submits an opportunity until B) final lender decision.
The supervisor will partner with Sales and Operations Managers to continually improved the customer and lender experience.
The performance of the supervisor and team will be measured on Application Approval %, Book to Approval % , conversion of pended transactions and time to application credit decision.
Manage retention and recruit members to maximize capacity of the credit/lender desk team
Develop a lender profile manual that highlights the differences of all the RBFS lender partners
Create job description for the roles within the team
Develop relationships with the lender partners to maximize efficiency for both RBFS and the lender partners
Develop performance management criteria for the team and individuals, including objectives, budgets, deliverables and time lines
Monthly reporting of team and individual performance of measurable goals to leadership and stakeholders.
Update the lender dashboard monthly to feed the automated scoring model

Here’s what you bring:
3-5 years of credit experience in the financial services industry underwriting transactions to determine the credit strength of a company or sole proprietorship.
Experience leading a team of credit analysts that structure and underwrite credit to determine the financial condition of a given covenant.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work and develop relationships with an existing lender community
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint is required
Minimum of 2 years supervising/managing staff
Ability to read and understand financial statements
Experience/certification in Insights, 360-feedback, and/or other developmental assessments an asset
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with a strong attention to detail
Excellent collaboration, relationship building and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task, work independently, and see tasks through to completion
Organization, prioritization and follow through skills for self and team
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high performing environment
This job will require you to:
Work in a professional office environment
Travel internationally or domestically when required
