The JR Shaw School of Business is looking for an energetic, positive, and detail-oriented individual to support the Associates Deans Academic, Administration and Industry Engagement in a full-time permanent position. This position reports to the Associate Dean Academic and will provide senior level administrative support to the Associate Deans in the JR Shaw School of Business achieve goals as outlined in NAIT’s strategic plan in alignment with NAIT’s Vision, Promises and Values
Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean’s and school/program/department staff in areas such as, expense claims, instructional workload, coordination of leadership team meetings, planning and preparing special events, meetings and retreats; and ensuring routine office operations are effective.
Supports the Associate Deans in the development and implementation of strategies on academic matters.
Complete capital inventory and coordinate capital purchases.
Prepare and compile special reports, documentation of staff engagement sessions, supporting curriculum review and renewal sessions, meeting minutes, presentations, financial reports, letters, and correspondence to assist in meeting school objectives.
Prepare operating and capital budgets. Monitor budgets to track trends, identify anomalies, investigate and assess problem areas.
Provide calendar management and email support for the Associate Deans.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent working knowledge of PeopleSoft – Finance, Human Resources and Student Administration modules
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to accuracy and efficiency in work produced
Grade 12 or equivalent
Office administration certificate or diploma
Five years of directly related academic and/or senior administrative office management experience
Remuneration: $1,938.09 – 2,531.80 biweekly with a comprehensive benefit package.
