We have an immediate opening for a Program Manager with responsibility across a portfolio of military programs at our facility in Oakville, Ontario.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functions as the primary focal within the Oakville facility for designated programs and works across functional organizations and teams to execute site and supply plans to ensure delivery schedules are in alignment with customer needs, risks are mitigated, and provides timely and accurate internal and external communications.
Converts the program demand into executable action plans within the site by providing cross-functional real-time problem resolution, aligns resources and schedules in accordance with customer priorities, and prepares site and program-level communications including the tracking of progress to delivery schedules.
Provides a vital and tactical role in the formulation and execution of program-specific plans:
Monitors military program parts and provides daily status to key stakeholders (site leadership, military business unit program leadership, and internal delivery sites)
Advocates for the application of best practices - capacity planning, master scheduling, shop floor management, etc.
Communicates priorities within the Oakville site in accordance with SAP/MRP demand and customer need
Escalates issues appropriately and engages senior leadership as needed to facilitate rapid response and issue resolution
Provides direct customer interface and support - develops and provides customer and senior leadership executive presentations (meeting coordination, presentations, facility access / tours, etc.)
Interface with our customers and suppliers on program specific issues, schedules, processes and activities
Identify CI opportunities with respect to the program, initiate events/projects to improve
Implement, track and report program specific metrics
Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with all customers and suppliers (external/internal) to facilitate the seamless flow of products and information in the Least Waste Way
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Education / Certifications
Bachelor's degree

  • Experience/Qualifications
Required:
  • Five years of related Program Management, Operations and/or Supply Chain experience in a similar/related manufacturing environment with a continuous improvement focus
  • Highly motivated and dedicated individual capable of functioning in a very fast-paced environment, with the ability to champion change and lead continuous improvement in the processes and performance of their programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable reporting program opportunities, plans, progress and initiatives to executive-level management, customers and suppliers
  • Able to travel up to 10%
Preferred:
  • SAP experience
  • Previous landing gear knowledge
  • Engineering or operations experience
  • Proven track record dealing with customers and the sale of OEM products to airframe customers
