Recreation Training and Learning Analyst
Reporting to the Coordinator, Community Programs (Training and Develpopment), the Recreation Training & Learning Analyst will oversee and coordinate the effective use of software systems and tools that support and streamline training and learning events and certification tracking within the Recreation Division. This position will assist with, and support various training initiatives and opportunities that serve to move the Recreation Division and its employees forward, ensuring compliance and best practices are upheld.
Support Recreation develop best practices to support training and learning management strategies and analyze business processes to identify process improvements through technology.
Ensure the best use of available technology, working with internal partners to leverage available resources.
Review training deliverables to shift from manual to automated.
Develop and maintain confidential databases related to employee training, learning, and certification records through system audits and reviews.
Analyze training requests from the field to determine feasibility and alignment with divisional goals and priorities.
Troubleshoot user and system issues and document resolutions.
Develop new tools and resources within the available platforms as required.
Provide day-to-day coordination, guidance and support for defined programs, processes, policies, practices and project initiatives to meet operational needs and corporate service standards.
Ensure appropriate learning and training records are maintained and tracking of budget allocated to training and development.
Advise and follow-up with supervisory teams concerning reporting requirements, processes and deadline adherence.
Review and maintain database that supports Recreation training rosters, plans, and requests to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Assist management team in completion of reports and general information requests as needed.
Support internal teams with training initiatives by processing and responding to a variety of inquiries and service requests; while adhering to corporate practices and standards.
Attend meetings as required and record and distribute meeting minutes if required.
CORPORATE DEPARTMENT COMPLIANCE
Audit current training practices and standards to ensure adherence and compliance to corporate, departmental, and legislated standards.
Monitor compliance of corporate and departmental policies and standards for: learning management software, transactional and administrative reporting, budgetary records, and staff management.
Ensure corporate compliance in files and records protocol.
Ensure that information is accurately retained, inputted, and shared and that error rates are minimized across the division
Training, mentoring, record tracking, and coaching of both full-time and part-time staff.
Work with, and support the Coordinator with the preparation and presentation of staff training as required.
Develop specialized training resources on new initiatives and processes, including the development of electronic training resources across a variety of platforms.
Assist with coordination of staffing requirements (certification and training) of part-time staff.
Post-secondary degree/diploma in related field (Administration, Business, Computer Design, or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years administrative experience in a business office environment;
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is considered an asset. Exposure to working in a unionized environment is preferred;
Previous experience maintaining digital collaborative work environments;
Knowledge of federal, provincial and municipal policies, procedures and experience is considered an asset.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is required;
Strong aptitude and competency using e-learning development tools (e.g. Articulate 360)
Advanced knowledge of, and experience with use of SharePoint;
Knowledge of federal, provincial and municipal employment and training standards is considered an asset
Well-developed time management and organization skills;
Able to work independently and as part of a team;
Proficiency in software applications including Learning Management software considered an asset;
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.

Hourly rate: $31.80
