Digital Marketing Specialist

Principal tasks:
  • Manage week-to-week SEO efforts in conjunction with SEO partners
  • Identify consumer awareness/acquisition opportunities by target audience and marketing channel
  • Closely working with sales and the digital team, propose marketing/communications strategies to target, profile and segment our clients aligned with our CRM application
  • Develop and project manage marketing/communication digital initiatives, including paid advertising, native, affiliates, influencers, email communications, and website improvements
  • Collaborate with internal marketing/communication team as well as the digital team, external agencies and vendors to deliver and optimize digital marketing/communication programs
  • Compile, review and communicate monthly/quarterly qualitative and quantitative reports on digital marketing performance, driving actionable insights for future efforts; communicating best practices and sharing lessons learned throughout the organization
  • Work to gain efficiencies and scalability within processes and protocols as it pertains to digital marketing execution
  • Monitor competitors’ successes and shortcomings, as well as relevant brands that exhibit best in class digital marketing programs
  • Keep informed of industry activities as well as new digital approaches, resources, opportunities and best practices
  • Track and measure program results and report metrics to stakeholders and other marketing team members
  • Use reporting to monitor campaign activity for problems or opportunities, develop hypothesis and actions to mitigate/leverage them
  • Explore, examine and introduce innovative new techniques, programs, formats and channels that can improve campaign performance and/or ROI
  • Coordinate social media campaigns, email campaigns, campaign landing pages. marketing automation platforms, prepare and adjust content and call-to-actions and optimize campaign towards maximized ROI, engagement and qualified lead generation
  • Develop recommendations for new growth initiatives and platforms, programs and initiatives that scale customer acquisition
Requirements:
  • BA/BS, MBA or equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 years of B2B digital marketing experience, including acquisition, email, push, in-app messaging, funnel optimization, promotions and/or merchandising
  • B2C knowledge is an asset
  • 5-10 years of direct oversight of some or all of the following: marketing strategy, UX/UI, SEO, content development, social media marketing, promotions, GTM execution, mobile app marketing, influencer marketing, partnership marketing, funnel optimization, creative development and e-commerce
  • Strong familiarity with implementing best practices in all marketing/communication digital functions such as: acquisition marketing (email, banner ads, online video, paid search and SEO, etc.), and web analytics
  • Experience working with and managing agencies
  • Ability to easily turn ideation into detailed execution
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to drive recommendations, articulate trade-offs, and communicate plans
  • Ability to juggle a range of project initiatives, balancing quality and speed
  • High attention to detail, across both business and technical domains
  • First-hand, in-depth experience with digital marketing, marketing automation tools and marketing operations and promotion platforms
  • A strong background in campaign marketing, with a focus on demand generation, profiling and segmentation, database marketing, and content marketing
  • Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills
  • Polished interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to build relationships and manage external vendors
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and collaborative
  • Energetic and self-motivated
  • Bilingual: English (mandatory) with excellent communication skills in French, both oral and written
  • National experience an asset
